• The Senior Consultant, Human Rights (EDHR) role is to advance excellent human rights practices at the City of Toronto by providing expert advice and resolving complex employee and resident harassment and/or discrimination complaints.
• This role supports the development of effective policies, programs, education, and communications, contributing to positive systemic change and the organization’s commitment to enhancing human rights, equity, inclusion, and reconciliation.
• Major responsibilities include providing consultation on human rights policies and legislation, conducting complex investigations, mentoring staff, and promoting a positive human rights culture through research and analysis.
