Job Summary

  • As a Field Engineer - Structural/Steel at Tutor Perini Civil, reporting to Director, Structural Steel you will have the opportunity to meet daily with project crews to confirm all materials, equipment, and resources are readily available for the planned construction activities on the schedule.
  • You will collect, coordinate, and analyze shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements and project data through the duration of the project, and provide technical input for project work plans and scheduling.
  • The company constructs and rehabilitates highways, bridges, tunnels, mass-transit systems, and water management and wastewater treatment facilities, helping clients make "public works" work.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or Equivalent
  • Four (4)+ years of experience as an Engineer
  • Heavy field interface experience
  • Ability to conduct meetings and present topics to a group
  • Ability to read and understand drawings
  • Basic knowledge of Procure, Blue Beam and HCSS
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word/Excel)
  • Demonstrated aptitude to understand engineering principles
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
