Job Summary
The Director of Nursing (DON) is a registered nurse responsible for the overall management of the entire nursing department and staffing levels, including developing and implementing nursing policies and procedures.
Essential duties include ensuring resident safety and respect, recruiting and training nursing staff, coordinating pharmacy services, and acting as a liaison between the facility, physicians, and family members.
The DON will also participate in QA, Utilization Review, Patient Care conferences, state surveys, and provide direct resident/patient care as needed.

Key Requirements
