Job Summary

  • The Heart Center at Cook Children’s Medical Center is seeking to add an additional full-time pediatric cardiac intensivist to join a group of nine physicians providing coverage to a busy cardiac intensive care unit.
  • The Cardiac Intensive Care Unit is a 14-bed dedicated unit with an additional 14-bed step-down unit caring for children with congenital heart disease.

Key Requirements

  • MD or DO degree
  • Unrestricted Texas Medical license
  • ACGME or AMA approved pediatrics residency
  • Board certified/eligible in Pediatric Cardiology or Pediatric Intensive Care
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience preferred
  • Full component of ICU skills
  • BLS and PALS certification
