Job Summary
This person is responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children, under the guidance of the Lead and/or Assistant Teacher.
The role includes supervising children at all times while maintaining a safe and inviting environment and teaching lesson plans as directed by full-time teachers.
The position requires adherence to all Center and licensing requirements and policies, and participation in required compliance and training programs.

Must-have
Supervise and interact with children
Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum
Maintain child/teacher ratios
Physical ability to lift 25–50 pounds
Outdoor supervision in various weather conditions

Attend staff meetings and training
Key Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Must be 18 years of age
Successful completion of DSS-required background screenings
Compliance with South Dakota Administrative Rules for Licensed Child Care Programs
