The Nuclear Medicine/PET Imaging technologist works closely with radiologists, referring physicians, and clinical scientists to provide high quality imaging for the care and treatment of our patients.
The Nuclear Medicine/PET Imaging Technologist performs nuclear medicine In vivo and In vitro procedures using sophisticated radiation-detecting instrumentation (including SPECT and PET), accomplishes computer processing and image enhancement, and provides images, data analysis, and patient information to the physician for diagnostic and therapeutic interpretation.
The Nuclear Medicine/PET Division encompasses imaging rooms located in University Hospital, East Hospital, and The James Cancer Hospital.
