The NC Department of Transportation is seeking a Vehicle/Equipment Repair Technician II to perform skilled repairs and maintenance on automotive and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate should possess experience in mechanical repair, diagnostics, and the ability to work in various environmental conditions
Job Summary
The position involves performing a wide range of progressively responsible tasks involving the service, inspection, repair, and diagnosis of diverse mechanical systems for gasoline, diesel, and alternative powered engines.
Employees must be able to safely operate equipment for testing purposes and work in both indoor and outdoor environments including during adverse weather such as snow, ice, tornadoes, and hurricanes.
Selected candidates are required to furnish a complete set of tools and must possess or obtain a valid North Carolina Commercial Driver's License within 360 days of hire.
