  • The Senior Lab Technology Specialist performs a wide variety of high complexity clinical laboratory testing in different lab units including Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Molecular Microbiology, Histology and Transfusion Medicine to obtain accurate and precise data for diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
  • The role involves active participation in Quality Improvement Programs and lab training programs to maintain operational excellence and support new hires.
  • The specialist is responsible for performing all required pretransfusion patient testing when assigned in the Blood Bank unit.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in medical technology or NAACLS accredited Laboratory science program
  • Saudi Commission for Health Specialties licensure (SCFHS) and Saudi MOH license
  • Certification through American Pathologist Board of Certification (BOC) ASCP or equivalent
  • Minimum 12 years clinical laboratory experience or Master’s degree with 5 years experience
  • English advanced proficiency
