Job Summary

  • The primary mission of the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is to provide science-based environmental stewardship for the health and prosperity of all North Carolinians.
  • Activities include cultch planting, biological sampling, data coding and management, vessel operation, trailering, vessel and trailer maintenance, annual vessel maintenance (including metal work, sanding, painting, etc.), and heavy equipment operation.
  • The North Carolina Division of Marine Fisheries (DMF) is responsible for the stewardship of the state’s marine and estuarine resources.
