Job Summary
The role requires planning, developing, and directing the facility's infection control program in strict accordance with current rules and regulations.
The incumbent must monitor infection control practices, conduct rounds for case findings, and ensure all personnel follow standard operating procedures for blood/body fluid exposure.
Responsibilities include preparing monthly summaries of infections, participating in government surveys, and assisting in the development of discharge plans for isolated residents.

Skills & Requirements
Must-have
Current active RN license required
2 years long term care experience
Knowledge of CDC OSHA regulations
Epidemiology and microbiology expertise
Aseptic technique proficiency
Bloodborne pathogen standard knowledge
Nice-to-have
APIC certification in infection control
PCC knowledge preferred
Strong committee collaboration skills
Experience with TB management programs
Effective oral presentation abilities
Key Requirements
Nursing Degree from accredited college
Active state Registered Nurse license
Current CPR certification
Minimum 2 years long term care experience
Maintain good standing with State Board of Nursing
