The Bordenstein Lab at Penn State is seeking part-time research assistants to contribute to metabolic engineering projects involving industrial hemp. Candidates will be responsible for various laboratory tasks, including tissue culture preparation, DNA/RNA isolation, and assisting in research publications.

Job Summary
The Central Pennsylvania Research and Teaching Laboratory for Biofuels (CPRTLB) is looking to hire part-time research assistants to assist with metabolic engineering of industrial hemp.
Responsibilities include preparation of tissue culture media, growth hormones and culture of explants under sterile conditions, and assisting with DNA, RNA and Protein isolation.
The role also involves routine upkeep of the laboratory and Greenhouse, collecting and analyzing data, and potentially co-authoring publications.
