Houston Transitional Care is seeking a LPN Infection Preventionist/Wound Nurse to coordinate staff training, oversee infection control programs, and provide direct patient care in a remote capacity. The ideal candidate should have nursing experience in long-term care and a passion for education and staff development

Job Summary

  • The Director of Staff Development (DSD) is responsible to plan and implement facility orientation, job skills training, in-service education, and a Certification Training Program (if applicable) for the nursing assistants as required by regulations.
  • Organize in-service education programs for staff including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of education provided.
  • Coordinate infection control surveillance program and provide direct resident/patient care.
