Key Requirements

  • 4 years of experience
  • Security Officer Healthcare Certification (CHSO)
  • Unarmed Guard License (NC)
  • Stop the Bleed Certification
  • valid driver’s license
  • Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) Card or Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) license
  • Certified in Conducted Energy Weapon (CEW) use
  • High school graduate or GED
  • State of Illinois 20-hour Basic Security Officer course
  • Willingness to carry a department authorized firearm
  • passing score on IL Handgun Qualification Course
