Acts as a patient advocate and patient educator while promoting optimum patient independence, self-care, and rehabilitation.
Acts as an integral member of the mechanical circulatory support/transplant team, assisting the transplant physicians by independently monitoring certain patients, managing outpatient clinics and periodically reviewing all patients with the physicians.
Ensures compliance and participates in quality initiatives.
