SeaWorld is seeking a Zoological Specialist, Associate, to join their team and support animal care and training programs. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, a passion for animal conservation, and relevant experience in zoological settings

Job Summary

  • This role supports training sessions for a wide variety of zoological animal areas and programs, performing daily husbandry tasks including administering vitamins and medications, preparing food, and maintaining a safe and sanitary working area.
  • You will be responsible for food preparation and storage, providing and maintaining a work environment that follows established guidelines and safety procedures, and observing animals to report any abnormalities.

Key Requirements

  • SCUBA certified
  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Biology, or related field preferred
  • Previous Marine Mammal Training or Bird of Prey experience preferred
  • At least 18 years old
  • Valid state driver’s license
  • Ability to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs
  • Extensive walking and standing
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather
