Job Summary

  • This role will play a pivotal role in implementing the Mission Formation Strategy, including through planning, implementing and evaluating formation and education opportunities for staff at all levels of Mercy Health.
  • You will maintain working relationships with leaders and managers in Health Services, Healthy Ageing and Support Services and support them in developing their staff in relation to mission and formation.
  • You will be required to support staff and leaders to understand Catholic teaching with regard to ethical issues in health and aged care, including by developing resources.

Key Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Theology/Scripture/Education/Religious Education/Formation/Ministry or related discipline OR Health or aged care qualification with relevant further education/training and advanced understanding of Catholic identity/theology
  • Proven excellence in creating, facilitating and coordinating the delivery of formation, education or training
  • Proven capability to model and promote reflective practice
  • Practical experience, knowledge and understanding of application of Catholic theology, Catholic Social Teaching principles and contemporary teachings of the Catholic Church
  • A current Police Record Check
