Job Summary

  • Develops and maintains safety programs for all State/Federal occupational safety/health regulations and coordinates with departmental management for safety inspections, audits and the timely completion of accident investigations for employee injuries.
  • Oversees the monthly and annual fire extinguisher inspection process, audits facility practices and records periodically to ensure compliance, and reports and reviews accident/near miss incidents monthly with leadership.
  • Provides coaching and written corrective action as needed, partners with manager to administer serious level corrective action, listens and responds to employee concerns, and coordinates the delivery of annual performance reviews and ongoing performance feedback.

Key Requirements

  • Theme park experience preferred
  • Safety/occupational health experience
  • OSHA 30-Hour General Industry
  • OSHA 510 and OSHA 500 preferred
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Valid California driver’s license
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent safety experience
  • Knowledge of company, local, state and federal requirements
  • Ability to present information to senior leadership
  • Strong analytical aptitude and organizational skills
  • Ability to generate technical reports
