Job Summary

  • Washington Athletics has an outstanding opportunity for a Football Performance Dietician to join their team.
  • In collaboration with athletic trainers, team physicians, sports psychologists, and strength and conditioning coaches, the Performance Dietitian will work with the Director of Football Performance Nutrition to manage and deliver comprehensive nutritional services to approximately 115 football student-athletes.
  • This position requires compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), and knowledge of rules and regulations of athletic governing bodies: e.g., National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), regarding banned drugs and restricted substances.

Salary

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition Sciences or Dietetics
  • At least one year of experience in collegiate or professional sports
  • Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Eligible for Washington State Department of Health license
  • Knowledge of complementary medicine, ergogenic aids, and nutritional supplements
  • Demonstrated competence in nutrient analysis and meal planning
  • Maintain a Washington State Food Worker Card
  • Knowledge of signs and symptoms of eating disorder/disordered eating
  • Comprehensive knowledge and application of medical nutrition therapy
