  • The primary purpose of this job is to ensure adequate and appropriate staffing of the facility nursing department to meet the needs of the residents based on budget, census, and as may be directed by facility administration.
  • Essential duties include maintaining employee records, coordinating the monthly nursing schedule, and reporting on staffing and scheduling issues.
  • The role requires the ability to cope with mental and emotional stress, work harmoniously with others, and handle difficult residents.

Key Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Ability to read technical procedures
  • Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of other individuals in the workplace
  • Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds
