The Salvation Army is seeking an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Engagement Worker in Red Hill, Queensland, to enhance cultural safety and community engagement within their Brisbane Recovery Services Centre. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of First Nations communities and be passionate about driving meaningful change through culturally informed practices

Job Summary

  • We’re seeking a dedicated Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander professional who’s ready to drive cultural safety, elevate community voice, and transform the experience of First Nations peoples accessing support at the Brisbane Recovery Services Centre (AOD).
  • Create and deliver powerful, culturally grounded resources, training, and learning experiences, and lead Yarning Circles and Learning Circles that honour cultural knowledge and strengthen identity.
  • We offer salary packaging up to $15,900 tax free + $2,650 meal entertainment benefit, generous paid parental leave, purchased leave, and ongoing training and development opportunities.
