Job Summary

  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals in large quantities, following prepared menus and portion control guidelines, accurately preparing special diets and pureed foods as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and cooking areas, adhering to safety and sanitation standards, monitoring food temperatures and maintaining proper quaternary solution levels.
  • Work harmoniously with staff across all departments to ensure smooth meal service, assist in serving meals and maintaining a welcoming dining atmosphere, and report resident care concerns to the Administrator and/or Director of Nurses.
