SiriusPoint is seeking a Head of Legal for their Stockholm office, who will play a crucial role in providing legal guidance to the European senior leadership team. The ideal candidate should have over 10 years of experience in the legal field, preferably within the insurance sector, and possess strong leadership and collaborative skills

Job Summary

  • You will serve as our Head of Legal based in our Stockholm office and be a key member of our Legal, Regulatory and Compliance team.
  • As Head of Legal, you will act as a strategic partner to the European senior leadership, providing commercially focused legal guidance that supports global business objectives.
  • You will advise on a broad range of legal matters across regulatory developments, data protection, sanctions, corporate law, commercial contracts, insurance and reinsurance, as well as helping to deliver training and guidance across an even broader spectrum of areas.

Key Requirements

  • 10+ years' post qualification experience
  • Qualified lawyer
  • Significant private practice or in house experience within the insurance sector desirable
  • Proven leadership and people management experience
  • Deep understanding of financial services regulatory and commercial frameworks
  • Experience working within a global, matrixed organisation
  • Law degree or equivalent legal qualification
  • Current or former Advokat status desirable
