The ideal candidate will have at least three years of transportation mechanic experience and a high school diploma, and will be involved in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of the repair operations

Job Summary

  • Lead mechanic provides lower level technicians guidance in vehicle repair and technical inspection techniques and procedures according to directives, technical manuals, work standards and operational policies.
  • Performs mechanical repairs and services to equipment daily, including motor and gear box changes and maintenance.
  • Directs Maintenance Mechanics to maintain plant equipment safely and properly with the goal of 100% reliability and minimum downtime for unexpected repairs.
