The Peer Mentor / HCT-II is responsible for conducting the unit orientation, on-the-job precepting, providing one-on-one support, and the completion of unit-based non-nursing procedure checklists for new HCT’s.
The Peer Mentor / HCT-II will be responsible for assisting the Floor Shift Nurse Supervisor in meeting staff ratios, filling resource needs, and preventing staff shortages as defined by Nursing policy when not actively mentoring new staff.
This position is considered mandatory, which means that employees are required to report to work during adverse weather and emergency conditions.
