Under the general supervision and work direction of the staff pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician performs pharmacy-related functions in compliance with departmental policies and procedures that provide optimal pharmaceutical care.
Essential responsibilities include delivering medications, maintaining and stocking automated dispensing cabinets, performing aseptic compounding, processing floor stock, handling controlled substances, and providing general assistance to pharmacist staff.
The role requires a high school diploma, a current Indiana Pharmacy Technician license, national certification, at least 1 year of hospital-based pharmacy experience, and good verbal and written communication skills.
