Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • Current RN registration with CNO
  • BCLS/CPR certification required
  • Recent Birthing Unit experience
  • NRP certificate or agreement to obtain
  • Fetal Monitoring Course required

Nice-to-have

  • Scrubbing and circulating for cesarean births
  • Obstetrical Nursing Certificate
  • Breastfeeding Certificate
  • Bereavement and palliative nursing skills
  • Proficiency in IV therapy initiation

Key Requirements

  • Current RN registration with College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Valid BCLS/CPR certification upon hire
  • NRP certificate required within 3 months
  • Fetal Monitoring Course required within 3 months
  • Recent Birthing Unit experience required
