Job Summary

  • The Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) is a Level 1, mandatory Key Personnel position whose primary duty is to prepare, implement, and enforce the Contractor's safety program, specifically the Accident Prevention Plan (APP), for all work performed at NAVSTA Mayport, MCSF-BI, and outlying areas.
  • The SSHO must be on-site at all times when work is being performed to administer the safety program and accepted APP.

Key Requirements

  • Fulfill EM 385-1-1 pre-requisites
  • 5 years construction safety experience
  • OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Certification
  • Current First Aid/CPR/AED Training
  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety or related field
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Possess passport book
  • Possess driver’s license
