Job Summary

  • The Telemetry Technician, under supervision, observes the cardiac rhythms of monitored patients at the central nurses’ station to immediately identify changes in any rhythm, especially those that are life threatening.
  • The Telemetry Tech performs multiple roles, such as a Unit Secretary and/or a Nursing Assistant and also performs administrative tasks for the unit.
  • Collaborates to provide optimal care based on age/diagnosis specific needs, and provides individualized patient care integrating age related, cultural, and religious/spiritual needs within the scope of practice.
