Job Summary

  • Servers will be responsible for the dining experience to include greeting the guests, serving the guest in a gracious and professional manner that represents the highest of standards to ensure exceptional service to all guests that is consistent and continually in accordance with the Autograph Collection standards under the franchise of Mainsail.
  • Maintain knowledge of current menu items, including ingredients, preparation, accompaniments, and sauces and upsell menu items to guests, as well as pairing wine with the meal.
  • Ability to work on a team with members of the Front of House staff and handle station, and work in a clean, organized, and efficient manner.

Key Requirements

  • High school diploma, equivalent, or higher
  • Previous experience in hospitality, preferably as a server
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to use technology, e.g., tablets, iPads, computers, and POS system
  • Beverage knowledge, including wine and liquor
  • Proven experience in describing dishes and beverages to guests
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to bend
  • Ability to lift, pull 50 lbs
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Ability to work long hours as needed
  • Make sound judgments quickly
  • Work on multiple tasks, making appropriate progress towards deadlines
