** AIG is seeking an APAC Property and Specialty Reserving Actuary in Singapore, responsible for managing the team’s reserving processes and results while interacting with senior management. The role emphasizes collaboration, independent leadership, and process enhancement within a culture that values inclusion and continuous development. **

Job Summary

  • The APAC Property and Specialty Reserving Actuary will be responsible for managing the day-to-day workflow of analysts within the team with the responsibility of coordinating and reviewing the reserving process and results for APAC on a US GAAP basis as well as for legal entity reporting.
  • This key role will be highly visible, as you will have the opportunity to interact with and advise senior management.
  • Ensure appropriate controls are in place for the reserving process, support and be the point person for Actuarial for the annual audit reviews, independent reserve reviews, internal audit and SOX reviews for APAC products.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent (Mathematics/Actuarial or related)
  • Fellowship/Associateship of an Actuarial Institute preferred
  • Some experience in commercial lines preferred
  • Experience of reviewing and managing reserving processes
  • Experience of setting reserves
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes
  • Ability to work collaboratively across disparate stakeholders
