The primary mission is to provide science-based environmental stewardship for the health and prosperity of North Carolinians through the Department of Environmental Quality.
This role involves administering permit requirements for the Coastal Area Management Act and Dredge and Fill law, with approximately two-thirds of the work being physical and outside.
Employees are eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program and may qualify for a hybrid telework option combining routine office and remote workdays.

CAMA Regulatory Permitting experience
On-site permit application reviews
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of Coastal Area Management Act
Experience in environmental stewardship

Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in agricultural, biological, engineering, environmental or natural resource sciences
