Job Summary

  • The Ultrasound Technologist performs obstetric diagnostic ultrasound studies under the direction of a Perinatologist, demonstrating professionalism and advanced knowledge of reproductive anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound equipment.
  • Responsibilities include performing a full range of obstetric and pelvic ultrasound exams such as complete and limited OB studies, biophysical profiles, multiple gestation exams, transvaginal/cervical length studies, pelvic ultrasounds, and assisting with amniocentesis.
  • Additional duties include documenting and performing routine equipment calibration, inspection, and maintenance; reporting malfunctions; participating in quality improvement initiatives; and completing annual competencies and required education.
