Key Requirements

  • Veterinary Technician Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
  • Must be dependable, organized, and self-motivated
  • Must be able to efficiently perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and analyze fecal samples
  • Must be able to perform blood work, position and acquire radiographs, give injectable and oral medications, drug dose calculations, and be well versed in critical care medicine
  • Must understand fluid therapy and how to administer anesthesia and oxygen therapy
  • Must possess the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, and move) up to 50 pounds
  • Able to stay on task and work energetically for the entire shift, sometimes exceeding 12 hours per day
