  • The Fire Instructor plays a key role in the delivery, coordination, and continuous improvement of the Firefighter Foundation Development Programme.
  • This role provides advanced instructional expertise, quality assurance oversight, and leadership within the instructor Team, ensuring all FFDP learners receive consistent, high‑quality training aligned to National Operational Guidance.
  • The postholder acts as a mentor to instructors, supports curriculum development, and contributes to the professional standards, safety, and operational excellence of the FFDP.

Key Requirements

  • Extensive experience delivering firefighter training
  • Competent Instructor in key disciplines

  • Strong understanding of NOG
  • Proven ability to assess, mentor, coach
  • Advanced instructor qualifications
  • Assessor or IQA qualification
  • Operational experience within a UK Fire & Rescue Service
