Nerdgigs is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for its Worthington, Minnesota manufacturing site, focusing on the maintenance and repair of equipment and systems involved in animal health vaccine production. Job Summary

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment, utility systems, and buildings needed for the testing, manufacturing, storage, and packaging of Animal Health Vaccines and related materials.
  • This position requires varying environmental conditions, such as: indoor/outdoor work, varying temperatures along with secondary gowning, entering coolers and freezers, hearing conservation areas (annual audiograms required).

Key Requirements

  • High School Diploma/ GED required
  • Technical Trade School Diploma / Certification preferred
  • Willing to obtain boiler operator’s license within 1 year
  • Read and interpret blueprints/schematics
  • Experience with OSHA general industry standards
  • Experience with computerized systems and software
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Lift/carry up to 50lbs; work from ladders/elevated platforms
