Job Summary

• The Surgical Scheduler is responsible for surgical scheduling for department providers, oversight and coordination of block time, and working with operating room (OR) schedulers to optimize provider OR time and schedules.
• Responsible for obtaining insurance authorizations, including providing pre-registration, verifying insurance and ensuring preauthorization requirements have been met from all potential payor sources.
