Job Summary

  • As a design-focused member, you will apply your technical expertise from initial conception of major design revisions and define the path through design maturation, validation, safe launch, and initial operation in orbit.
  • Develop and own design criteria, requirements, and verification approaches for new satellite systems. Continuously improve these processes with stakeholder engagement.
  • Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. Salary

Design Criteria Engineer/Level I: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00/per year; Design Criteria Engineer/Level II: $110,000.00 - $135,000.00/per year; Bonus/Equity: Long-term incentives (stock, options, cash awards), discretionary bonuses, ESPP; Benefits: Medical, vision, dental, 401(k), disability, life insurance, paid parental leave, paid vacation, paid holidays

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline
  • 1+ years engineering experience
  • Advanced degree in engineering discipline
  • 5+ years professional engineering experience
  • Experience with aerospace systems
  • Experience with electrical/mechanical system design
  • Scripting and data analysis experience
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
