Job Summary

  • The Perioperative Services Assistant will work in conjunction with and under the guidance of the registered nurses, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists to support and provide care to the surgical patient.
  • Duties include cleaning and turning over rooms, restocking supplies, assisting with anesthesia equipment, lifting and positioning patients, assembling equipment, gathering supplies, acting as a runner, transporting specimens, and performing quality assurance.
  • The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, current BLS certification within three months of hire, and Medical Technician or Registered Pharmacy Technician registration within three months of hire.
