  • The Medical Dosimetrist functions as an integral member of the Department of Radiation Medicine (or its outreach/affiliates) of the Medical Center.
  • The Medical Dosimetrist, as a member of the team, is thoroughly familiar with geometric characteristics of the radiation equipment, radioactive sources commonly employed, and has the training and expertise necessary to generate radiation dose distributions and calculations under the direction of the radiation therapy physicist.
  • The Medical Dosimetrist in the Department of Radiation Medicine is a member of the treatment planning team who measures and generates radiation dose distributions and performs dose calculations.
