Job Summary
This role leads peer review processes, conducts detailed chart audits, and performs root cause analysis to identify gaps, trends, and opportunities for improvement in sepsis care.
Working closely with managers, providers, and department leaders, the specialist helps implement targeted interventions and countermeasures, supports education and cross-training on performance excellence, and drives initiatives that enhance clinical quality and patient safety.
While not directly involved in patient care, this role plays a critical part in improving outcomes through data-driven insights, collaboration, and continuous process improvement.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required
Certified Patient Safety Professional (CPPS), CPHQ, or CPXP required within one year
Minimum seven (7) years of related experience
Experience with Joint Commission, HFAP, CMS surveys
In-depth knowledge of patient safety best practices
