Monitor CCTV, fire alarms, and burglar alarm systems
Dispatch public safety staff via radio and CAD systems
Evaluate incoming calls to determine severity and validity
Maintain logs of security personnel communications and activity
Nice-to-have
Strong computer skills with 35-40 wpm typing speed
Ability to work in a stressful fast-paced environment
Effective written and oral communication skills
Experience with security management software and hardware
Key Requirements
GED or HS Equivalency Diploma required
1 year experience responding to alarms and monitoring hardware/software
Must obtain APCO Public Safety Telecommunicator 1 certification within 12 months
Correctable vision and hearing required for constant communication
